May Lord Ganesh bless you and your family with happiness and prosperity. We appreciate the interest you have shown in our temple activities and thank you for your kind donations and contribution to our temple. With the support of our community, we were able to promote the understanding of ethical, social, and philosophical foundations in the practice of Hinduism, and thereby continuing to provided spiritual assistance to our community.
 
Through this temple besides worship, we also encourage and recognize many young and talented classical artists.  In 2005 we established Sri Varasiththi Vinaayagar Hindu College to educate and empower our young generation through the values of Hindu Religion, culture and Tamil Language. Today there are over 220 students and 10 teachers are part of this school.
 
Sri Varasiththi Vinaayagar Temple priests frequently visits the Scarborough Grace Hospital, Scarborough General Hospital, Yee Hong Old Age Centre, Providence Healthcare and Craiglee nursing home to perform prayers and to console the patients, residents and their families.
 

Giving Back to the Community

 

The “Giving Back to the Community” fundraising program was initiated to help communities in need. With the support of our devotees we raised funds to help Tsunami affected people in Sri Lanka in 2005, Batticaloa-Sri Lanka Flood Relief through Ramakrishna Mission, Thellippalai-Sri Lanka Blind people, Sivapoomi old age center, Renovation of the Nallai Aatheenam Jaffna-Sri Lanka, Chennai-India Flood Relief, Rough Valley Walk-A-Thon for Centenary Hospital New Birthing Centre and also took the leadership role in raising funds for The Scarborough Hospital Grace Campus MRI Equipment.
 
We request all devotees and well-wishers for their diligent participation and support towards the programs and services we provide to help grow as a recognized community in Canadian society.
